Yzzo Studios is a metal fabrication studio specializing in functional yet artistic metalwork. From commercial spaces to fine homes, our works beautify spaces while providing functionality, comfort, safety, security, and aesthetics.

What we create

Custom metalwork

Our work is 100% custom, built specifically for each client’s unique needs and style. We’ve built items such as furniture, architectural installations, decorative security, custom storage units, and sculpture. Our metal specialty is steel, but we also love to create interesting wood/metal combinations, and can accommodate many other materials. Our network of local craftspeople affords us the ability to work with other artists and professionals, broadening our abilities to include lighting, unique materials, and specialized fabrication techniques into our pieces. We don’t limit our scope to just what we know - we especially love new and interesting projects that we’ve never seen before!

Repurposed Works

Another Yzzo Studios specialty is reusing and up-cycle interesting manufactured objects, such as steel scraps, car parts, and industrial items.  Wesley has created a series of furniture using items such as giant saw blades, tools, automotive gears, and truck axles.  If you’ve got a repurposing idea or unique metal items sitting around, we can turn them into something that the designer of that item never could have imagined!

Full Service

We are a small company but we provide full service, including: consultation, design, fabrication, and finishing. We can also provide or facilitate delivery and installation. For more complex projects, we can work with your architect, designer, or contractor to provide a piece that fits your décor and integrates into your home.

Being small allows Yzzo Studios to provide a highly personal level of service, with complete flexibility and transparency. We believe that every client should be treated fairly, kindly, honestly, and respectfully.

Wes Skinner, the founder of Yzzo Studios, is an East Bay artist and metal fabricator.  With several years of professional metal fabrication experience under his belt, his specialty is artistic and architectural metalwork. Wes got his start building small sculptures out of car parts, and then by working on large-scale metal art installations with the Flux Foundation and several other art collectives. He was so inspired that he decided to pursue metalworking as a career.  Formerly in marketing and advertising, you will now find him happily building things at his Richmond shop.
