Ouchie The Cactus

This cactus was Wes' first chance to lead a collaborative project with the Flux Foundation.  Leading a group of several volunteers, Wes dumped a giant box of old parts on the table and said, "what should we build?" This is what the group came up with.  Wes was the lead fabricator, and was helped along the way by several other fabricators, each of whom contributed something interesting to the project.  The cactus blossoms on this sculpture were the inspiration for the Saw Blade Flower Series that Wes created in 2013.  

This sculpture was eventually sold at an auction, with all of the proceeds going to benefit the Flux Foundation.
